Picatinny rails for Husqvarna rifles

Our rails are precision-milled and fit specific rifle models.

Husqvarna rifles are an integral part of Scandinavian hunting history. From Mauser-based models to the 1640, 1900 and later systems, many Husqvarna rifles remain in use and in good working order. Because the models span several generations, it is important to choose a Picatinny rail that matches the specific action.

We offer Picatinny rails for Husqvarna 640, 1640, 1900 and 2000. Always choose according to the exact model, and check the A/B/C dimensions on your rifle before ordering.

Picatinny rails for Husqvarna rifles

Husqvarna is one of the most notable names in Swedish firearms history. Many of the rifles were built as rugged hunting guns that still perform well today. A modern Picatinny rail makes it possible to use contemporary optics and mounts on an older Husqvarna without changing the rifle's basic character.

Husqvarna 640, 1640, 1900 and 2000

The Husqvarna 640 is often associated with the Mauser M98 action and is a heavier, very robust platform. The Husqvarna 1640 is a slimmer development, while the 1900 model is one of the best-known Swedish hunting rifles. The Husqvarna 2000 is a later model with its own construction. They should therefore not be treated as a single platform when choosing a rail.

The action and hole pattern vary between the models. A Picatinny rail for a Husqvarna 1900 does not necessarily fit a 1640, 640 or 2000. Always check the exact model and the A/B/C measurements on your rifle before ordering.

Material: steel or aluminium

For a classic Husqvarna hunting rifle, 7075-T6 aluminium is a good choice if you want to keep the weight down. Steel with QPQ treatment is relevant if the rifle is used a lot, if the optics are heavy, or if you want maximum wear resistance in the mounting. See our guide to steel vs aluminium for Picatinny rails.

Night optics and flexible setups

Many older Husqvarna rifles are still actively used for hunting, and here Picatinny can be a practical upgrade. The rail provides a common mounting standard, which makes it easier to work with clip-on, thermal or digital night optics. A standard riflescope should as a rule be checked and often re-zeroed after being relocated.

Mounting

On older Husqvarna rifles you should be extra aware of previous drilling, threads and mounting work. Position the rail so the holes line up precisely, clean the contact surfaces and threads, use a small amount of suitable threadlock, and tighten the screws according to the manufacturer's recommendations. See our guide to mounting a Picatinny rail.
