Material

This rail is made from steel, which remains the classic choice for mounts and Picatinny rails. Steel has high stiffness and is extremely durable. The material tolerates repeated mounting and dismounting without the contact surfaces deforming. Steel is heavier than aluminum, but for a Picatinny rail the weight difference in practice is minimal - typically under 50 g. Read more: Steel vs. aluminum - what is best for your rifle?

Surface

This rail is made of blued steel. Bluing is a chemical surface treatment that gives a nice, matte black finish and some degree of corrosion protection. Bluing is less resistant than QPQ-treated steel and hard-anodized aluminium and therefore requires a bit more care. A thin layer of oil after use in damp weather keeps the surface in good condition. MOA

MOA indicates the rail's inclination. A 0 MOA rail is flat and is the natural choice for general hunting and range shooting. An angled rail can provide more elevation adjustment in the scope when shooting at longer distances. Always use the MOA value specified for the specific variant. Mounting

The rail is mounted to the rifle's receiver or mounting surface with the supplied screws. We recommend using a torque wrench during installation. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for torque and thread locker. Some rails, especially for rifles with prism or dovetail, may require fine fitting or adjustment by a gunsmith to be mounted correctly. Generally this is not necessary and the rail can be mounted without problems. Recommended mounting torque: 2.7-3.3 Nm Mounting the rail: Read guide to mounting a Picatinny rail

Brand

Compatibility

The rail features a Picatinny platform and can be used with standard Picatinny rings and mounts. The rail is also compatible with Weaver mounts. Note that compatibility does not necessarily go both ways. A Weaver rail does not always fit Picatinny mounts.
