About HG Firearms & QPQ Steel
About HG Firearms & QPQ Steel
- Extreme surface hardness: QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) is not a surface coating, but an advanced thermochemical hardening process. It makes the surface harder than a file. This means that the recoil stop on the mounts will never deform the grooves, even under massive recoil.
- Maximum rust protection: The QPQ process completely seals the steel and makes it a deep matte black. The rail can effortlessly withstand the damp Scandinavian hunting weather and is extremely resistant to corrosion.
- Thermal harmony: Since your receiver is almost certainly also made of steel, the rail and rifle will expand in perfect sync during heating. This minimizes the risk of microscopic stresses that can shift your zero point.
- STANAG 4694 (NATO standard): Milled according to the strict STANAG standard, which is the modern upgrade of the traditional Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913). This ensures a completely superior fit, where quality mounts grip perfectly on both sides and top, providing optimal "return-to-zero".
- Complete set: Always supplied including the correct quality TORX screws, so you are ready for immediate mounting.
