Rifle Guides – Picatinny Rail for Your Rifle
Find the right Picatinny rail for your specific rifle model. Our guides cover everything from action-type and screw placement to material choice and MOA cant – specific to each rifle.
Choose your rifle below and get concrete guidance on what to look for when mounting a Picatinny rail.
Why a model-specific guide?
Picatinny rails are not universal. Although the standard (MIL-STD-1913) defines the groove profile, screw placement, receiver shape, and action length vary from rifle to rifle. A rail for a Tikka T3x will not fit a Remington 700, and a Browning X-Bolt requires a completely different footprint than a Sauer 100.
Our rifle guides help you understand exactly what is required for your model – so you avoid incorrect purchases and get a correct mounting from the start.
What does each guide cover?
- Action type (Short Action, Long Action, or both)
- Screw type and quantity (Torx, 6-48, M5, etc.)
- Recommended torque (typically 3–3.5 Nm)
- Material selection (QPQ steel or hard anodized aluminum)
- MOA tilt and when it makes sense
- Compatibility warnings for related models
